Will the roof be closed Sunday regardless of weather conditions? I know its retractable, but does cold weather (no rain) decide if it’s closed or not?

Excuse my ignorance and TIA.

Even if the roof could open. No way they’re opening that bad boy up.

It has four giant doors that open on one side of the stadium, but they generally only use them when on nice days.

If you have ever been to Minnesota or even looked at a picture of Minnesota in January, you would know the answer to that.

The stadium’s capability is moot.

I don't wanna start a new thread so I'll just piggy back off yours. Assuming we win on Sunday, do you think we'll open the roof on the Dome for the NFC championship?

yeah, but i don't remember it exactly. something like they have to keep it closed or else Morstead would punt it right out of the building.

Maybe they will let us use Seattle's dome and open the roof for us.

Bud Selig demanded it remained open.

What is your thought process for leaving it open?

Uh, no! Morstead is not going to have to punt in this game.

They will leave it open then fill it up with snow then close it.

MLB can force a Dome team to open the roof in the World Series.

Not sure if the NFL could do that or not. I don't think Minny wants to take a chance with Keenum and his inexperience in playoff games with cold weather even if they had an option.

Run Game and Defense have to succeed and limit turnovers and we win.

Edit part: Just looked it up and playoff games are decided by team or stadium officials by normal policy. The conference championship and super bowl are decided by the commissioner.

I swear I thought it was completely retractable. I guess I heard it wrong from a couple “knowledgeable” sports guys that are Vikings fans.

I’ll walk myself out now.
