I think he should be fined for doing that, complete lack of competitiveness.

Sarcasm I hope!, If Brady or Moss gets hurt in a 21 point game with 5:28 left Steve Young would have been all over him. Plenty of football left for the Patriots, they will need all of their players healthy. Geaux Saints!!!

No, it's not sarcasm. I have never seen a pro team do that with so much time left 5:38. Would it have been a longshot? Sure.

I will not be surprised if the NFL office addresses it.

Yeah, they should. And while they're at it, they could investigate why teams rest their starters the last game of the season when they have their division wrapped up.

If Brady goes down when you're 3 TDs down, your season is over. That's called common sense.

This is exactly what I was thinking also. They still are in the playoff hunt and will need their starters to be healthy. Even if Brady and Moss start working their magic, the Patriot defense was not going to stop Brees and company last night and Belicheck knew it.

I hope they do adress it. Right after they adress Stuart Scott's glass eye. That thing is hypnotic.

Belly-Check's throwing in the towel with 5:38 to go was unusual, but, not a move with which the NFL should take issue. Avoiding risk of injury is a legit reason for the move.

I liked the way that the Saints offense responded by running the ball, regardless of the down and distance after the penalty on the O. We demonstrated class and respect towards Belly-Check and the Pats franchise on the world stage, and that reflects well on the Saints.

Belly-Check in post-game responded with a showing of more respect and class than he is generally known for.

All in all, a just PERFECT event for the New Orleans Saints franchise and their great fans.

Long-time-die-hard Saints fans are probably the best sports fans in the world.

That quote was hilarious. Especially the way he said it and his expression. Fits the Pats coach and QB nicely.

Steve Young is a douche. Talking about Brees not being a professional before the game and showing him showing up in a sweatshirt and whatever pants but Brady is the consummate pro because he shows up in thosand dollar suits...

What the hell are you talking about? He was joking when he said that. You, obviously, didn't watch the Saints/Giants game, or the game last night, Young has gotten into several arguments (and I mean real arguments) with Millen about how good Brees and the Saints are. Hell man, Young has said many times that the Saints are the best team in the NFL and will go to the Superbowl.

I think you missed the boat on this statement.

Knowing Belicheck he might have done it to embarrass them because he was so disgusted.

Remember Van Gundy doing that one time when his team played like crap?
