No dude. We pay an above average punter about 4.25 mill a year and you're telling me Taysom Hill isn't worth 4.66 in all that he brings to the table AND being a damn good backup QB in the very least? That is absolute absurd. Lock the doors, burn the barn down absurdity.

It is apparent you did not read what I typed. Or you did and are being intentionally dishonest. Or you did and your bias is creating delusional thoughts. It can only be one of these three things.

I suggest you reread what I wrote and amend your post, because you don't look good right now

You said if Hill's role remains the same, he's not worth the 4.6 million correct? Those literal words came out your fat fingers correct?

Yup. He's not the backup QB right now. You are the one adding that to the mix, which means you are increasing his role.

He is a 23% snap count player in his current role. Zach Line is 20%. Murray is 40%. I am sorry if the facts don't jibe with your emotions, but they are still the facts

You think a 23% player is worth 5mill/yr? You seriously think that?

You obviously do not know the definition of "IF." I stated a lot in my post, and it was covering different scenarios and roles. You chose to focus on one specific statement, ignore the word "if", reappropriate what Taysom's actual role currently is and then proceed to throw a hissy fit because none of it jibed with your emotional state of mind.

Like I said, you don't look good right now. While you are known for your abundance of downvotes on this board, this is even beyond the pale for you.

it would SUCK to lose Taysom for a 1st. In this made up scenario, it likely wouldn't be a top 10 type 1st.

Sucks from I really like that guy perspective

Doesn’t suck from a compensation standpoint

Fact of the matter is the last two playoff games at critical points in the game....Drew has melted.. and those are fricking facts.

your OL is composed of high draft picks and a lotta money - melted

$100 mil WR - melted

RB billed as top dual threat in the league - melted

High $ FA TE - melted

4th highest paid HC - melted

No one is clamoring to replace them with a severely inferior backup

I mean it is true. How can you fricking argue with this? I love drew just as much as the next guy, but not more than I love the city of new orleans and the team as a whole. You guys are living in lala land. The window has been open the past 3 years and it is now shut. fricking blows

Not sure how well Taysom can run a full Payton offense. Payton's offense is complex as hell and requires someone who has full knowledge of certain game situations. Something Taysom has very little experience in. In order to have Taysom at QB you would have to create a running style offense like Baltimore.

Cooks made one of the biggest plays at the most critical drive in the game.

Taysom should be our starter next season. Taysom is so valuable to the team because he's reliable at different positions. With that being said, it is time to let him take over. It wasn't a popular decision to start A Rod over Favre, but it was the correct decision. The Saints should do the same as Green Bay.

Judging by the fact that when Brees went down, Teddy took over and not Hill.

Tells me that the coaching staff doesnt think he can, so it doesnt really matter what people on a message board think

Teddy starting had more to do with his experience as a starter and Taysom playing multiple positions.

bullshite, if Payton had even any thought that Taysom is the future, Teddy wouldn't have been given the contract he was and Taysom would have been in for Brees.

Repeat after me Taysom Hill will never be the Saints starting Qb.

bullshite...Teddy is a below average game manager at best. The only reason Sean went with Teddy is because Taysom was too valuable on offense and special teams and could not lose that production.
