Typically your FOX affiliate.

I live in Mobile. I would come home and on TV I would get the Cubs and Braves everyday. So I was a big fan of both.

Being in the Southeast we all watch the Braves, but I still love the Cubs.

Minden west is cowboys fan territory, Ruston is 50/50, West Monroe east is Saints fans.

With todays technology you can be a fan of any team from anywhere.

That said I remember back in the bag head days many a saints fan jumped on the cowboy wagon. It's easy to be condescending when the saints are better but many of you "Fans" would jump to the winner close by if the bag heads return

If you pulled for Archie Manning, Chuck Muncie, Wes Chandler, etc., you could never be a Cowboys fan. You either always pulled for the Saints, and loathed the Cowboys, or you never really were a Saints fan. After all, we had not accomplished much of anything. A returned opening kickoff, a pro bowl cornerback, and an 8-8 season. If you followed them, then you followed them. Drew Brees and the team these days is just lagniappe, or gravy.

Geaux Saints!

There have been four times since the start of the 2017 season in which the Saints and Cowboys played at the same time on Fox or CBS, and all four times, the local Shreveport affiliate chose the Saints over the Cowboys.

Whatever makes you sleep better at night dude. What i said is a fact.... Go into any sports shop in Desoto, caddo or bossier parish and you will find out..... Cowboy paraphernalia everywhere.... In fact we should just give that shithole called Bossier and Shreveport to Texas

This crap is getting old. I grew up in Union Parish right above Ruston & born in 1973. Monroe TV ALWAYS showed the Saints over the Cowboys. I knew very few Cowboys fans growing up there. North Louisiana is WAY MAJORITY Saints fans with the exception of the Shreveport area which is probably 50/50 Saints/Cowboys. Yes, Shreveport sucks but there is more to North Louisiana than Shreveport. The rest of North Louisiana is solid Saints country.

I lived in New Orleans for over a decade after college & the complete & utter ignorance that people from South Louisiana have about anything North Louisiana stunned me in my time there.

I sleep just fine, dude

I don't know what stores you are talking about, I live in Shreveport and yes there are Cowgirls, but way more Saints. Academy on Bert Kouns is chock full of it.

I wouldn't know about Desota, but as far as Caddo and Bossier the Saints are well represented. You are just talking nonsense.

Plenty of saints love north of I10.

The only issue is the bossier and Shreveport area. I dont know if they are still the same, haven't been in so long but they were pro dallas at a time.

They used the excuse that they were closer to Dallas than new orleans. I've always hated Shreveport solely on this.

Completely agree about the ignorance of south Louisiana towards north Louisiana.

Hell our taxes go to the Saints as much as theirs.

Yes Shreveport is 50/50 , can't be helped. The Fox broadcast goes into Texas. Oklahoma, and Arkansas. It's a business decision on their part

Even in the 80's when we had 3 channels and constant barrage of Cowboys showing, a good deal of Northwest LA people chose to be Saints fans. That is fandom right there.

Unlike people from south Louisiana, who didn't have to ensure constant taunts from Cowgirl fans and defend the "Aints", we still remain fans

True. It goes both ways. Some think you need a bullet proof vest to go eat in New Orleans.

You are correct. It does go both ways. Many people in North Louisiana are completely ignorant of true South Louisiana culture. You would be surprised how people in rural North Louisiana have never been to New Orleans or the Houma area. Some think everyone down there is a criminal. I am glad to have lived in both places.
