Winston played exceptional Wk 1 and hesitant in Wk 2. The whole issue was the offensive line was on roller skates all night and he is thinking too much trying not to make a mistake instead of just being instinctive! Need to throw the ball deep more and not always check down to a RB!

Winston is what he is, not very good. The problem is neither is Hill.

This is the crux of the problem. I believe SP really was pulling for Taysom to win the job. He called him the next Steve Young and said repeatedly that the next qb after Drew was in the room way before Winston got here. For all the people that rag on Winston so much I would like to know why Taysom couldn't win the job. He was here longer and had the endorsement of the only man that mattered, Sean Payton.

i was very critical of payton when it came to how the "competition" played out. Having Jameis, who's supposed to be this gunslinger qb, been here for over a year plus learning system,... its been a super conservative type game planning. Same type of conservative game planning that i've been critical of payton of when taysom got his opportunity last year in the 4 starts. Kamara's day was awful. It bewilders me how CMac can get designed mismatches at any moment and we can't seem to do with AK.

We're all just hoping you one day come to the realization that you know nothing about football and stop posting here.

People would be complaining about taysom the same way they are complaining about Jameis.

Why are you obsessed with a running qb that does not move around the pocket well to avoid the pressure ,cant make a read , or throw a good long pass?

Why are most obsessed on here with Jameis? His point is you are hypocrites and wouldn't be giving Taysom a pass like you are Jameis. This board is a joke.

Jameis played like shite week 2. He played well week 1.
Saints are 1-1.

More than likely the same record the team would have so far with taysom at qb.

Nobody would look good at qb with the oline performance last week.
….

So his point is that we haven’t complained enough about QB.
Seems…just really fricking stupid.

Not overreacting is being obsessed?

If Taysom threw 5 TDs 0 INTs first game then yes he would also be getting a pass for one stinker game in which the entire offense was terrible. Sure, some would be calling for Winston, but we have some calling for Taysom already.

Can't believe we are already having this debate before week 3 and the team is 1-1. Keep in mind many did not expect New Orleans to win week 1.

I think it's a perception thing. One was drafted number one overall. One was not. I know there's been a bunch of first round busts and a bunch of great stories of qbs drafted late. I'm only talking about the two the Saints have at the top of their depth chart now. I'm not saying it's right or fair but Winston is gonna get a longer leash than Taysom because of his draft status and brief flashes of good qb play he's had in the past. It's not fair but anyone who has played sports on any level should know that there's no room for what's fair.

This would be 100% accurate.
If they both just showed up at CSP door.
But thats not the case.

Taysom is 31 years old and has been throwing passes and running plays for Payton going on 4 years.

Winston is 27 and been working in front of coach for two years.

A lot of stupid words have been thrown around when all we fans want is a win!

We will win next week's game. And things will get back to normal. There is no way this line plays like this next week.
Actually I think this was the worst I've seen that unit play by alot. Jameis had 2 seconds to throw the ball.
It's almost takes that long with no one there at all. Craziest thing ever. We do need another receiver thou.

Interesting....When I pointed out the last two years that it wasn't so much an issue with Brees arm strength but the fact that protection is trash and our receivers can't get separation so they keep just running stop routes to make up for both.....the guys on this board whose chins are used by Winston as a trampoline for his balls would just respond with "nOoDlE aRm!!11!!1!!"

We've had these same issues for a few years now. The same benefit of the doubt wasn't given then.

Very little of that time was spent actually running the offense as a QB.

Winston has 5 full seasons as an NFL starting quarterback under his belt. Hill did that for what....6 games last year?

Can suck a fricking dick. Chad boy eat your heart out. WE BAAAAAAAACK!!!! ...

I did enjoy watching Taysom as our RB2 helping secure the win.

but in all seriousness, it's going to be an entertaining ride. Defense is legit when healthy. when we get our oline starters back and MT, we will be scary. glad im not bitter enough over a position battle to not enjoy it
