Todd Graves should buy the Saints. Open “Canes Stadium”

Very doubtful. Legislature does not meet for another 2 years and then it's highly improbable it passes through on the first attempt. That puts it back another 2 years to come up again. Then, even if the legislature passes gambling it's got to go through an election vote. But will fail a general election.
Heck, they can't get the legislature to pass school choice but people think they will pass gambling?
How do you say no to this if you are a Texas politician? All this and not costing taxpayers a thing.

It looks like this casino owner puts money in politicians pockets too. Louisiana wishes they could get this deal. You think Gayle Benson and the front office would be drooling if some casino owner would build them a new stadium in return for some ownership?

Some of them have very religious constituents that don’t want it. Also Tillman Ferrtita owns the Golden Nugget and the one in Lake Charles and draws a lot of people from Texas.

If one of those Mississippi Casinos offers tobuild Gayle a new stadium and facility then look out. No that is not illegal in the NFL. MGM Grand runs the Raiders stadium.

An expansion franchise will already be in Vegas long before then.
Vegas and Seattle are getting expansion teams, one of the worst kept secrets in the NBA.
Lebron will be involved in ownership of the Vegas franchise.

You mean Tillman? I also specifically mentioned the casino he owns a short drive from Houston, his restaurants and the quality or lack there of is completely irrelevant to the discussion. since the point seems to be escaping you, there are people that may have a vested interest in keeping casinos out of Texas because it would hurt their existing businesses such as the Golden Nugget casino in Lake Charles. In cases like that they may lobby the or give campaign funds to key legislators to vote against casinos in Texas.

Texas is a big state and I refer back to the problems passing school choice. All those small town areas oppose school choice because it has nothing in it for them. They don't have private schools as an option so they vote against it.
It will be worse for gambling. Those same small town reps will vote no because the casinos are not going to benefit them. Then you have the religious opposition driving some reps in the area that would benefit but don't want it.

Interesting the Mavericks owner is selling his majority to a casino owner that will build a casino and new arena in Dallas. Sounds like Texas is about to legalize gambling.
Also, cuban saying he wants to build a new stadium and casino I think is a decoy. If that were his intentions it does not make much sense for a cash sale of the majority ownership. If that were true, it would make more sense to enter a partnership agreement with the Addelson family for the mavericks and future development.
The fact Cuban is getting $3.5 billion in cash seems to indicate he needed the liquidity to buy something else. I think he has another deal working, but it's not the Saints. Maybe Warner Brothers, Disney etc. would make sense why he is also giving up ABC Shark Tank.

He wants to buy the Saints ?

That scenario is absolutely the single most least relevant concrete option that Mrs Benson would ever entertain.

The question is whether the Saints survive the next owner transition.

He has the money to buy, or partner to buy some of the assets Disney is having to liquidate. Cuban has always had an interests in owning a network of some form. He started HDNet a few years after buying the Mavs and he tried his hand at a few hosted shows ... That were failures.
Another possibility is regional sports networks Diamond Sports Group which is in bankruptcy. Cuban is a predator investor that 8nserts himself into deals that he can either suck some quick money to walk away or get an asset at a bargain price.

This team is so bad and has killed so much of my genuine love for this team that I really don't care at this point if it happens. If they aren't serious about winning, who cares?
