The Bucs have to lose to the Falcons too. Or a whole laundry list of shite needs to happen
-WAS needs to lose out
-SEA needs to lose to LAR
-GB needs to lose 1
-DET needs to lose 1
Plus us winning out gets us a wild card.

I'm currently shocked to find out the Saints have the best point differential in the NFC South

TB -38
ETA: almost as shocking as seeing the 12-3 Vikings with just a +5 point differential

This saddens me greatly. We should be winning this division with this roster. Dennis Allen is such a huge frickup

It really is crazy how clear we could be relative to at least the division if just 1 or 2 of the 67,426 unlucky breaks we caught didn’t happen

We definitely had some seasons like this with Payton as well.
I am not ready to give up on Allen. The team is still playing hard for him.
I also think Dalton would be a fantastic holdover for another season or two to allow us to not gamble on a long shot rookie QB with one of our few draft picks. We need to keep stocking the roster and can’t afford to take a flyer on a QB project.

Don’t do this to yourself. This is the Saints and the NFL is still in the “entertainment” business. There will be a lot of playoff jockeying on the last weekend to keep viewers interested. So the Saints likely beat the Eagles and then get screwed (or screw themselves) against the Panthers.
