Should Saints go after Patrick Peterson?

I think we have to explore the options. Not many picks to give but we have to make that call. Arizona is shopping him.

Peterson would fill our biggest hole with a top 5 player at the position. It’s hard to argue you would do better on this team with next year’s second. Our window is closing, this seems like a no brainer.

I'll be shocked if the Saints aren't active in trying to acquire Peterson.

The saints and cardinals were trade partners around this time last year. The line of communication is definitely open and workable.

I didn’t think we would actively try to get him unless the Cards were open to trading him and it appears they are. It’s possible. Not likely, but possible. We’d have a hellacious D for two years

Honestly, I would be willing to entertain a first if Peterson is willing to sign to a long-term deal that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. You're not going to draft a better corner/return specialist than Patrick Peterson. You're just not.

You don’t need to give up 2 players & 2 picks. We shouldn’t be so quick to give up Crawley either, only 1 injury away from being in the same spot we’re in now
