You obviously did not watch the game today if you think that’s a delusional take.

I watched Shedeur throw for 340 yards and 4 TDS. I’ve watched Dart look really good at times. Shough hasn’t done anything to prove he’s better than anyone. He already has like 7 or 8 turnovers

did the Saints make a mistake not drafting him?

Right. Just getting some wins and confidence . Yet, doesnt have a great crew around him so it could be over evaluated. Just happy the teams improving. He isn’t burrow or Brees so we can’t jump the gun here.

I didn’t want anything to do with Sanders but I said after the draft I woulda preferred taking him in the 5th to where we took Shough at in the top 40. That’s mostly b/c this team had to many holes and needed higher top end talent.

quote:

Sanders joined Aaron Rodgers as the only quarterbacks in the 21st century with four completions of 50 or more yards in their first three career starts, according to NFL Media, after his 60-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Hard to argue they didn’t get great value for a 5th rounder.

He just outplayed the number one overall pick by a wide margin. You don’t think that’s a big deal?

To be fair..Ward had to play against Cleveland’s defense…which is the 2nd or 3rd best defense in the league…with potential game wrecker Myles Garrett. To win the game and score is nice work.

Shedeur played well against a less stellar defensive group. But yes, Shedeur looked good…especially for a 5th round pick.

Picking Shedeur over Shough is somehow worse than Shough over Maye

No one can hindsight the Shadeur pick against their team. The whole NFL passed four times over and he’s looked like dogshit except for this week.

Maye is unreal.

Shough hasn't played that well since the 2022 Texas Bowl

Not at all. Go look at the draft threads. His me first, look at me attitude is not someone I want leading the team. But he has talent, and was a good gamble for the 5th round. That’s all I’m saying. Ward has been struggling all year.

Ward has only had a qb rating of over 90 twice starting all season. Sanders has averaged over that number in his three starts.

Cam Ward was an iffy #1 pick and his team is worse than our team, so it's hard to judge (and he may be getting the Couch/Carr treatment destroying his future)

Titans defense sucks. I think he did well, though, but I suspect he will go back to his past lack of production.

Sanders threw 42 times at 54% clip in a loss against the worst team in the league

Shough put the team on his back on the road vs a playoff team. He beat the panthers on the road. The kid has impressed, I say this as someone who hated the pick
