Shannon Sharpe compares Drew Brees to Karl Malone

In that no one will ever remember how great he is/was because of Brady, Manning, and Rodgers.
First off, Sharpe can eat a dick. His hot takes are for mostly attention, and congrats to him because he got mine.
Secondly, Malone is remembered as one of the greatest to play the game, and is #2 all time in scoring. People who watched basketball didn't forget Karl Malone.
Thirdly, Brees will retire owning most of the passing records, and has a Super Bowl; which players like Marino and Kelly (still remembered today) could never achieve.
Fourthly, I'm mad.

brees won a championship. the whole dual comeback story (brees post-san diego and nola post-katrina) will hardly be forgotten by sports fans. think of the picture with brees and his son after the super bowl. pic made the rounds and was on sports illustrated. does malone have such an iconic pic?

Brees will get his 2nd Super Bowl. Doing it for a franchise like the Saints, you can make an argument that it's the greatest thing one individual player has ever done for a franchise. Once he does, Brees will ride off into the sunset and be truly considered the GOAT.

Peyton has 2 technically but Osweiler could have led those Broncos to a win that year as well. Peyton, Trent Dilfered 2015.

1) It’s not an insult to be grouped with Malone for anyone who knows a damn thing about basketball
2) Karl would fight Shannon if he told him face to face that he is not top 3 all-time at his position
3) I’d really like to see a Karl v Shannon fight. I’d put money on Karl because it doesn’t get much meaner than a guy from Summerfield. He wouldn’t even need DDP as backup.
