Seems like he’s trying to pretend that the game hasn’t passed him by. It has.

To me it basically sounds like he's trying to make things easier on Russell Wilson who has been under a lot of pressure because he stunk it up last season, so, he deflects the attention away from Wilson. But Payton is wrong for doing this because he knows you shouldn't throw other coaches under the bus like this. Payton has always had a big damn head though thinking he is more than what he really is.

You can hardly argue with success and Payton has been very successful as a head coach. You can argue about character where he is concerned. He hasn't always displayed it in a positive way over the years both in his personal life and in public. I won't try to judge his personal life but this isn't the first time he has shown a lack of forethought and maybe given other teams some unnecessary motivation. I must admit that I hold a grudge against Payton for the way he handled his departure from N.O. and that will all fall by the wayside as time goes on but in the meantime nothing would pleasure me more than to see him and the Broncos totally fall on their arse and collapse even more over the next couple of seasons while our own ship gets turned around. I hate to seem like the jilted lover but Payton has given me no motivation to hope him continued success.

I get Payton "broke the code" but the Jets look like complete pussies with the way this has played out. Saleh, already known soft commodity with his "we kept receipts" bullshite before the Jets cratered last year, comes with his obviously work-shopped "you ain't poppin" bullshite. Then you add notoriously thin skinned Rodgers crying over his boytoy's hurt feelings. Now Hackett coming out whining about Payton being mean to him as an analyst last year. Grow a pair and let the play on the field do the talking if you're really this upset about it. Constantly bringing it up just makes you look pathetic. Jets look like another year of embarrassment in the cards, with or without Payton being an a-hole

I find it ironic that he throws another coach under the bus for their coaching when he basically quit on the post-Drew team he built and needed to “step away” from football.
I hope he gets his arse handed to him this season!! Good riddance!

CSP had a reason for saying what he did
Love him or hate him this is premeditated.

Hackett is such a clown. Should've just said he's done with last season but instead cries because somebody said he did a shitty job when he couldn't even make it a whole season. Got eased into the profession because of his dad then got his big break because Rodgers likes throwing darts and drinking with him.
Saleh also a clown but just for saying "if you ain't got haters, you ain't popping". Acting like he's done something when all they've done is "win" the offseason, which was exactly what Payton said they were doing.

It’s embarrassing seeing the way some of y’all are knighting for Sean Payton.
The dude had the organization go all in for him while he refused to transition the QB position. Bailed while he was under contract because he was only concerned with his time there.
Now he has the balls to bitch about a situation that a previous coach left the team in. Coaches with far less rope than he will be given. There aren’t many better examples highlighting the me-first attitude that has ruined professional American sports.

He's preparing damage control for the coming onslaught and it's coming. He has probably come to the realization that the Broncos have a lot of issues. Payton came from a very comfy situation in N.O. where he pretty much had free reign to a very dysfunctional organization so he's experiencing culture shock. I still find strange the remarks he made a while back about how advanced the Broncos were with player evaluations and how it sort of came off as an insult to Loomis and the Saints and now we've come to this? I don't dislike Payton but I also do not trust or respect him after the way he mishandled his departure and now he seems to be mishandling this one unless I am missing something.
