Scoring is ALWAYS the right thing to do. The 2-point conversion was executed poorly. Looked like Brees put the onus on the refs to call PI instead of not leaving it to chance and exhausting all options to actually make the call work.

NEVER leave it up to the refs, when will the SAINTS learn?

No it's not. Scoring with a few seconds left and leaving the Saints defense with no ability to screw it up is the right thing to do.

Well good job. We scored and we lost. I hope you're happy.

And you know what's sad. I knew we had lost when we scored so quickly. I knew our defense had no chance to stop them. I would've bet the house on it.

I’d agree if a fg would win it. We needed a touchdown, you score the touchdown. Anything else is completely moronic to even consider

No, depending on a defense that hasn't stopped the 49ers all game and a defense with a history of blowing games late is completely moronic to even consider.

I trust the offense more than the defense. I would've gladly taken one play with our offense against the 49ers defense.

At least in that scenario we have a chance.

Two mistakes were the 2-point call which was awful and then the defense playing to win the game all costs on 4th and 2. Would have been great to win the game on that play, but instead of losing the play and giving up the 1st, they gave up the game on that play.

That is the stupidity of Allen. He is probably the worst coach I have ever seen in the last 2 minutes of a half and Especially a game. He is the reason we have failed to reach the Super Bowl the last two years.

IT DOESN'T MATTER!!! SF WOULD'VE JUST SCORED A TD!!!

THE 49ERS WOULD'VE SCORED IN 30 SECONDS IF THEY NEEDED TO!!

HOW MANY TIMES DOES OUR DEFENSE HAVE TO SCREW US OVER BEFORE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND?

kneel twice and bring it down to 1 play.

So on 1st & 2nd and Goal at the 1 we should lose 3 yards each play & then try to score on 3rd/4th & goal from the 7/8 yard line?

More brilliant than relying on our defense to stop the 49ers offense that they hadn't stopped them the entire game.

What's the definition of insanity again? Oh year that right's, doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

Our defense has played great all year. Chauncey and pj have blown more games than I can count. If we don’t get both of those back breaking penalties on 3rd down our defense gets off the field and has enough juice to finish the game. Then cgj again blows coverage on Kittle for the game ending drive.

It doesn't matter, the defense would've lost it.

2011 against the 49ers, 2017 against the Vikings, 2018 against the Rams, this year against the 49ers. How many times does the defense have to screw you over before you understand?

No you just run to the 2 and then kneel down. Do that for 2 plays and bleed the clock. Then you have 2 chances to win the game and leave SF no time to do anything.

Cheap shot on Cooks gave 49s the advantage. They couldn’t stop him.

I don't think I've ever seen anything more stupid than a fan base continually relying on a defense that has made a living giving up leads with under a minute left in the game.

What gave you the thought that our defense, that hadn't stopped the 49ers all game long, had any chance whatsoever to keep them out of FG range?

Read a book

Here’s the thing. The book doesn’t know we stalled out inside the 5 a bunch and missed a two point conversation and a 4th and short.

When you can score you score.

I wish this were the case but it’s not with the saints. This team is historically snakebitten in the final moments of big games. At this point I’d rather our players go down at the 1. I’d rather we lean on our offense than our defense to win games at the end. Sounds stupid but our defense is a clown show in the final minute of a game and shouldn’t even be given a chance to seal a win.

Even last year against philly in the playoffs we had to count on Alshon Jeffrey having a ball go right through his hands into Lattimore’s to win that game, before that they were walking down the field about to snake that dub just how San Fran did today and just how many teams have against us. Downvote away but we’re gonna be seeing more heartbreaks if the saints have to rely on the defense to win playoff games.
