What Saints player then would be good enough to be drafted in a 10 team league? George Rogers for sure. Maybe Morten. Maybe Saints defense?

Considering that offensive stats across the board weren't what they are now, I think in a PPR league Eric Martin could have been a fantasy starter for 2-3 years.

ETA: His years wouldn't have been quite 40 years, but that's an arbitrary number anyway.

that was a monster line back then. Bruce Clark, Jim Wilks, Frank Warren....and T.E. Tony Elliot in the middle.

the LBs weren't Dome Patrol good but stout nonetheless--

City Champ and Whitney Paul on the outside; Dirt Winston and Doc Kovach on the inside

Hoby Brenner would be a serviceable tight end in that era.

Dalton Hilliard had one year?

Don’t know if it was 40 years ago?

And yes the Dome patrol defense.

Saints DEF in the late 80's/early 90's (~1987-92) with the Dome Patrol and DL combo would get you points (PA, sacks, turnovers, etc.).

My TD only league started in 1988 so wasn't far off from that time.

I started playing in 88 as well. TD only… My first pick ever was Christian Okoye. Saints defense were a great great fantasy defense.

People played 40 years ago.

I have a cousin whose first league was in 1985.

Insane.
