The admins are a lot more active over there. They have rules and if they think you broke them you're done, no matter if you think you violated or not. Here it is a lot more open-ended. As long as you don't cuss, you're free to say what you wish.

So it all depends on what you want on a message board. There are pluses and minuses to both approaches. Saints Rant is a much freer board sometimes bordering on Helter Skelter. Saints Report is a lot more controlled with a lot fewer personal attack posts, but it's much less entertaining. Again, it's all based on personal preference.

As far as content, I would say there is more negativity here than there but that is to be expected. That board is only Saints fans. This board picks up a lot of primary LSU and SEC fans who follow the Saints secondarily, so their perspective will naturally be more critical overall.

Here is an example. Over here, about every 5 minutes someone starts a new thread about firing Loomis and/or Dennis Allen. They get posted and live their natural lives. Over there the admins would have put the kibosh on that months ago, saying that there are other threads on those topics already and to reply to those. The new threads are deleted and if you kept at it, you're banned.

Just like current Dems, they believe in free speech only if you agree and parrot what they believe. If you criticize a player or coaches you get warned and then banned. It has to be 100% rainbows and sunshine pumping.

The admins act just like the little hitlers that ran around and enforced masks during covid. They are inconsequential in real life so they get on a power trip and are quick to wield the ban hammer when questioned. It’s pretty pathetic.

The poli board was an absolute disaster. The shite they posted and the way they think. It’s no wonder New Orleans fell into the despair it has fallen into. I got banned years ago and haven’t been back. And Nola turned into exactly what I said it would back then.

Several of their mods from last season have left. No coincidence that they were very critical of Loomis and Allen towards the end. I almost got the hammer for saying I believed that the reason Payton left was just months earlier the succession plan was announced and his name wasn’t mentioned .
The last time I visited the scumbag owner was having to stay on top of anyone criticizing airline drive himself. It seems kind of dead and sad as a discussion platform now honestly.

While it is more heavily managed than this board, it is not nearly as totalitarian as people here are making it sound. The ones that get banned tend to be the ones who cannot criticize without being insulting or launching personal attacks, or the ones that cannot help but start the same threads over and over. As I said earlier, there is something to be said about policing that kind of stuff, but there is also something to be said about letting it go and allowing the boys to be boys.

Having said that, the site did get very insufferable during covid and the BLM stuff, but 95% of the time if you just stay off of the politics and everything else board you can avoid that.
