I would think most teams can not afford a luxury commodity.

I do not think he is capable of running the field anymore...however his presence in a limited capacity near the RZ could provide some much needed oomph to our attack to finish drives.

Coleman was schooled against a nobody in the EZ when a much smaller corner punched a TD grab from his hands.

Colston is going to draw some decent attention in the RZ and Cooks is going to be guarded by every teams no.1 corner.

Devin McCourty was PFF's 8th best safety last season. He's far from a nobody.

yeah "schooled by a punch out" is humorous and then devin mccourty being a nobody is very much more humorous

I just did not remember it being Mccourty...I just remember him getting owned for most of the first 3 games.

i rewound the play to see who it was so i could seek comfort in it at least it being a somebody rather than a nobody.

Regardless. Coleman is expected to be a major contributor this season especially in the RZ. He is expected to bring in a pass that hits both hands especially if he is not being laid out in the process. Maybe it was a learning experience for him...I just think with that frame those things can not happen.

People thought our WR was so solid that theoretically looking at Dwayne Bowe was a bad idea and now we have 4 WRs and are kicking the tires on Hakeem Nicks.

The SJB draft pick last year is looking even worse considering we passed up Jarvis Landry and Allen Robinson to select SJB.

Yes, Landry is a solid possession receiver and now would be a great contributor for the WR corps. But to be fair, Colston did look 10 years younger before the 2014 season. Factor in the fact they still thought Toon would come along, not really hard to put yourself in their shoes on not taking Landry. I do think we could have used the pick better though, which is as plain as day now but maybe was more of a reactionary choice to a hole in the roster and trend in the NFL (with the Seahawks playing physical with their corners close to the LOS).

Teams get burned every year in the draft following trends - hell teams burned 1st rounders trying to find the "next Jimmy Graham".

He may not be the stud he was with the Giants but Id love to have him on a one year deal. He's fast and physical and could be a nice addition opposite Cooks and Colston.

It's easy to say that now but there's no way in hell the Saints would have went WR/WR in the 1st and 2nd round especially with the way the defense performed the season in 2013

Good point. Still, I'd love to have either Landry or Robinson on the roster right now.

People like to pick the sexy wide receiver, but we passed up on two centers who may have changed last year's outcome. That's what I'm more frustrated about last year more than anything. Goodwin looked abysmal with two solid guards in San Francisco but that was our solution with worse guards...

Yeah I can't believe we passed up on a guy like Bryan Stork who was the Pats starting C by the end of last year.

Yeah they relied way too much on the fact that they had Goodwin in their back pocket and refused to reach even a little bit (Payton's reason for not taking one is that they all went a round too high).

MAYBE we would still have Graham and a solid young center if we took one last year. Then we don't have Anthony though.

Dude's having some serious concussion issues right now. When healthy, pretty damn good.

But then again, we may have traded back to someone like SD to get a 3rd/4th and picked up Bud Dupree at 17. Taken Kendricks at 44.

Marcus Martin was my consensus center pick last year honestly

Marcus Martin

How's he doing in the league? I was sceptical of him because of playing in the PAC12, specifically USC and I'm a hater.
