Pretty sure the Saints and Packers were the only winning teams Tampa beat

Tampa won division and made playoffs. Saints couldn’t even take advantage of their schedule.

About the same. They are not going to add any new players of great significance and the only difference may be OC and offense restructure.

Also add the older defense. Major cap issues. It’s hard to imagine how we’re much better. ESP if we have a harder schedule.

Well the last couple of years the playoff teams have changed by 6-7 teams.

Also the Saints have Cleveland, Philly and LA at home...Kansas City and Dallas on the road....All the other games are very winnable.

Maybe you get lucky with some injuries.

This is a hard argument.

Miami is going into the playoffs and had a chance to win and get the #2-seed. The Saints have more wins against teams with winning records than them.

The stance the FO will have is that the Saints aren't that far from Buffalo when you look at them objectively.

Buffalo had head-scratching losses to the Jets, Broncos, and Patriots. The Saints, on the other side of the coin, really took care of business against all the really bad teams on the schedule, but struggled against the 9+-win teams.

which means they are the definition of an average team.

that is now going to only get older.

The best QB the saints beat all year was Baker Mayfield. They got beat by Desmond ridder and Josh Dobbs (and baker mayfield).

Half their division fired coaches this season.

Saints are going to treat this offseason as though they are a bounce away from 11/12 wins when they are much closer to 5/6 wins.

On plus side - 2023 draft has some real promise. Bresee, Miller, Howden and arse Time should all be solid contributors in year 2.

Here’s hoping foskey figures something out and 2024 is an even better draft. Not a lot of picks so really need to hit

I'm not defending it, but the NFL was really not a great product this year. Only 8 teams finished better than 10-7, and no one is really going to consider the Browns, Eagles, or Dolphins elite right now.

No one ever thought the Broncos or Raiders were average teams, but they fit in that category.

Saints have a total of 2 picks in the first four rounds plus negative $78,000,000 to get younger and better this offseason.

We beat two teams with winning records this year. One was a division rival and the other was lead by Gardner Minshew. We lost to every other team with a pulse…and even some who didn’t have a pulse.

We really only beat the worst of the worst. Panthers, Patriots, Panthers, Titans, Bears & Giants. And we beat the Giants and Bears when they had their backup quarterbacks. Although we lost to Minnesota with their third backup, so I guess we were still luck to win at all.

I’ll be surprised to win five games next year.

I’m beyond depressed.

Interesting end result. Saints went 2-6 against teams with a winning record, and 7-2 against teams with a losing record. Funny enough, next year they will face 8 teams that were above .500 this year, and 9 teams below .500.

Bmore, Frisco, Dallas are legit. Browns and Miami are dangerous.
The Browns have shown with a terror of a Dline you can go far. 165 yards PPG.

Saints Def ended up 6th in points per game
Browns ended up #1 in YPG

IMO that means the team has some talent on the roster but coaching is terrible.

Losing record is putting it mildly. Those teams were a combined 52- 101
