If he can give us 50-60 catches it's a fair deal.
Signing Cooks looks bad. He may effectively be a 4th receiver now, if everyone is healthy. I think the Saints got desperate after what happened last season.

I’m struggling to understand how a 4th and 7th were fair value for this guy.
I like the player, don’t like the age, and his one season plus age is not worth a 4th.

Saints FO must like him

So? That doesn’t make this free, you still have less picks than you would have without bringing in a guy that can’t even beat out a 3rd round rookie now and doesn’t significantly help this team, could probably get similar production after training camp cuts

Just because you like someone doesn’t mean you grossly overpay for them. No one was offering that much. You don’t trade that much for a 3rd WR.
