Should have said not great (but not bad) in man coverage (especially the deeper he gets) and can struggle at deeper drops in zone.
He can cover the box area and flats VERY well.

Davis is our man cover backer, Anzalone can cover the middle sidelines and deeper middle drops in zone, and this guy can cover all the short stuff. Makes a good combo of coverage.

Definitely. He did more pass rushing, so that meant less snaps/practice in coverage.
I imagine that will be the way we try to develop him and he can definitely get there.
Anyway you look at it, he's an immediate upgrade over what we had in Klein in all 3 phases.

There isn’t a reason to believe he can’t cover in man. He just hasn’t done it. He will be used a lot as a rusher on passing downs anyway. He is going to shine as a blitzer
