Larry Holder's Take
thought this was a good point-
Saints quarterbacks coach Joe Lombardi probably carried a scouting report on Warford with him to New Orleans. Lombardi was the Lions offensive coordinator for a couple of years while Warford played in Detroit.

Brees probably feels a little better at retiring a Saint, today.

This guy has played guard in the only offense in the NFL that is as pass happy as we are. I like it.

Someone finally found the fire hose on Airline Drive to put out the two-year blaze at guard along the New Orleans Saints offensive line.

The Lelito experiment plateau'ed a couple years ago

Yeah Kelemete passed him up. We may not even resign Lelito at this point, with Kelemete, Peat, Warford, and Turner on the roster.

Lelito better start looking around!!

They might like John Fullington(OG) more as well. Jack Allen could take his backup Center role.

turner had like a 3rd round grade...i wonder what his potential is.

Strong as an ox ....... but slow and plodding makes him suck in pass protection.

I assume his ceiling as a run blocker is pretty high. Dude is massive. Not sure how good he'll be in pass protection(this question mark is probably why he wasn't drafted).

Possibly on Fullington.
As for backup C, Kelemete took that this year. Allen is in the mix too but he'll have to show he can also play guard.
It'll be hard to beat out Kelemete for the top backup spot as he can play every spot on the oline (left better than right though). That's invaluable.

Turner and Warford both ran 5.58 at the combine at close to the same weight, with Turner being a little taller. Hopefully Turner has been working on trimming up and improving his footwork. Wish we could get a report on him

Have the contract details dropped on this signing yet?

Great read on Warford
Sounds like a great pickup. Was called Detroit's most consistent lineman last year which was saying a lot considering how much Detroit's offense improved last year.
