I agree he could give us more flexibility as another pass catcher, but if we dropped the name Erik Lorig in a contract discussion with Graham, Jimmy Sexton would laugh Loomis out of the room.

The #19 ranked FB that was moved away from TE doesn't at all take leverage away from the #1 ranked TE.

Why would it? Not that this deal gives any side any kind of leverage, but if anything, it would give Jimmy's agent leverage.

Sounds more logical than:
"Hey Jimmy (Sexton), we just signed a below average FB who used to be a TE, so you know he's a pass catcher, which makes Jimmy (Graham) less valuable to us. Our offer for $9.5 mil a year is no longer on the table. Here's a new deal for $9 mil per year."- Loomis
