Give him an Associate HC title and throw him on the defense with a linebackers title. Overall, he'd be a great calming addition our coaching staff imo.

Great thought. We should get Belichick to coach our DL and Carroll to coach our DBs too.

If there’s one thing we don’t need help with it’s defensive coaching

Senior Defensive Assistant would be a logical title. He can do whatever it is DA needs. Looking at team coaching rosters there are lots of well known (Some former HC's) coaches filling roles like this for most teams.

I have a better choice for this position. He's VERY tanned, been resting for two years, knows his way around the Superdome and got 17 million in his bank account so he will work cheap.

If anything, this coaching staff needs some fire. I’d be perfectly fine with giving him an associate head coaching title and taking more responsibility away from DA. Ron’s players play hard for him.

I have zero clue what the heck tigerdropping’s obsession with ‘head coach in waiting’ and ‘associate HC/DC/OC’ is, but i wish it would go away

I don’t think he would be that. I just think DA needs all the help he can get and Ron isn’t taking a position coaching position.

i'm not against it but may be too much of a threat to DA. Ron's hc days are over imo.

Players make the difference, not coaching. Saints are old and slow on defense.
