The value of the draft is usually in rounds 2 through 4. This being a particularly deep draft, the Saints should still get a good player in the 4th as well. Will be interesting to see if they can make deal to move into the 3rd as well.

do you remember the last time the Saints didnt need 6 OL?

it was like 2010.

This

Or just go watch the week 17 game against the Panthers to get an idea of why we might want to have some good OL depth on hand

Loomising??? Loomis was a TERRIBLE GM, Jeff Ireland has turned this thing around, Loomis is a complete dumbass. Look at the drafts before he got there and after....in Ireland's 1st or 2nd draft, we got Lattimore, Ramczyk, M. Williams, Kamara, Anzalone, got TreQuan and Davenport last year....Ireland's also brought in guys like Demario Davis, Klein, Malcolm Brown, Mario Edwards, Teo, Patrick Robertson, Bridgewater.....this is a product of Ireland, not Loomis.

Ireland replaced Repriesh. I doubt any of the previous drafts were Loomis picks.

I mean he was the GM of a super bowl team. Ireland was a disaster in Miami.

You never hurt your team by adding talent and depth on the lines.

Absolute homerun pick. This line is going to be nasty for many years to come.

116 is a 4th correct? I guess the value checks out.

116 is the 14th pick in the 4th round, so mid-fourth.

For comparison, our original 4th was no. 132, the 30th pick, before we traded it for Eli Apple.

Why do try so hard to be a douche. You’re very successful at it, but still. I bet you took to the keyboard after having your arse whipped over and over again.

Excellent pick! Just read that the Saints had the worst sustained pass blocking of any playoff team last year. Of course, the injuries to Armstead, Peat, Unger, and Ramczyk certainly didn’t help. Depth on the offensive line was the Saints greatest need in the offseason IMO, and they have addressed it admirably!

People don’t want to admit because of their love for him, and I loved him too, Unger played hurt pretty much the last two seasons and he was not very good. Like at all. And neither was Peat. We needed Easton and McCoy
