Been on the list for nearly 5 years now.
I joined the list a few days after they started it. I got the call 3 years later, however that was before the Saints won the Superbowl.

No clue why I gave up my seats when I left NOLA...well I do know but just lamenting the fact that I was a poor student at the time.

I'd also be in favor of hefty transfer fees.
Thats the thing about the waiting list--Even if current season ticket holders weren't gobbling up the tix that come available, it's much smarter to sell your rights than to just give up your tix.

According to ppl in my section, (Take it FWIW) ppl sell rights to the seats around me for thousands of dollars a pop. That's for the privilege of paying ~$2K per seat. And for expensive seats like that, the secondary market is not as good as you might think, when you factor in the $200/game preseason tix that I typically just give away. There's a certain threshold where secondary market drops off.

Now those endzone seats make a killing! If I ever got to a point where I was selling more games than attending, I'd look to downgrade.

I sell my terrace corner end zone tickets for a profit to purchase better seats in the dome. I have never lost money on terrace seats.

Rights to buy tickets run 1000-4000 per seat from what I can tell. Bought 2 in the 500 section a couple of years ago.

I sell 4 of my tickets every year for $750 each. I pay $250. This pays for all 10 and some in my pocket. I sell 2 to friends for face because they have been buying from me even when the Saints sucked. The other 4 I use for me and friends/family. I did sell 2 this year for $600 because I was going on a vacation and wanted some extra cash to go scuba diving on one of the days. Playoff is where I make even more money. I will price the ones I sell below what you find on Stubhub and Ticket Exchange.

Incorrect. The only thing I ever hear is about special offers for the new Orleans bowl for waiting list folks.

Back in 2004, me and my cousin bought season tickets for $150 each. The whole season. There was some special they were running because they couldn't sell out the Dome anymore. I still have my "season ticket holder" bumper sticker. They were up in the 600's. How much do those go for nowadays?

They could never sell out the dome for a season!

I disagree, if the Saints keep winning nothing changes, however they go on a complete melt down. 3-5 losing seasons and they will be back to the old days. I'm glad I was in the the number for this great run!

There was some parties going down up there in the 600's. Getting all wasted while Aaron Brooks was chucking INT's and lol'ing on the sidelines. The first game I went to as an actual season ticket holder, Peyton Manning hung something like 55 points on us.

If you have the money to spend the more expensive ones come up more frequently. Obviously the terrace (is it still called the terrace?) is going to be infrequent since more people can afford them.

I think in 2003 or 2004 I paid something like 400 for two season tickets. Its was something stupid like that. Then after Katrina and the shite show of a season and unsure on how things would end up I gave up my seats.

I sold 2 games this year. Dallas and SF. I have something going on both weekends, but it's not the end of the world....sold them for $765 after fees, but only pay $800 for my 2 tickets for the year. WIn win for me. 6 games(8 if you include shitty preseason) for 30. I'll take that.

it will be hard for anyone on the waiting list to get tickets since they allow transfer of tickets. the two people that sit next to me were giving up their tickets and i was able to get them into my name.
