Saints really need to let Pete Carmichael go

The play calling completely changed when Winston came in. Play calling was so damn conservative. No running game. He didn't call any plays that allowed Winston to push the ball down the field.
We run Taysom Hill all game long and not allow him to pass once. I thought in the 4th quarter especially, Taysom would've thrown the ball two or three times.
Pete Carmichael is a damn idiot. Saints can do better than him.

Dalton looked like a functional qb with the panthers today. Under Carmichael none of our qb’s have set the world on fire. Even carr hasn’t looked all that great.

Can’t see us ever contending with him in charge. On that last drive we move the ball downfield passing so he puts 7 in and runs off tackle for nothing on first from the 40. Two drives previously it’s run on first run on second both for no gain. GB was susceptible to the pass but our hard headed OC wouldn’t push the ball downfield until the last drive.

I want to see something besides Taysom run up the middle. Why not let him throw to mix the play call up? I guess these are the results with which I must live being a Saints fan and having Carmichael's bland and unimaginative offensive creativity at the helm.

Or instead of him lining up under center, pitch the ball out to him in space because you know damn well he's not going down easily. Throw to him, pitch the ball to him, run him but maybe give him something other than 'up the middle'.

There is a reason a guy who was the “OC” of one of the best offenses in football for over a decade never got any consideration for a HC job or even another OC job where he could actually call the plays. He’s was Payton’s bag-toter. Hell, he wasn’t even sure he wanted the Saints job when Payton left.

Carmichael is a complete fraud. He’s made his living being Payton’s play calling assistant. I said it at the end of last year that if Allen didn’t show him the door it would mark the start to his downfall.

I think Allen has a lot to do with the conservative approach.
When you hire a defensive head coach they care more about not scoring than scoring.
