It was even worse watching it live. Those 2 were the reason why we kept getting constant pressure up the middle.

The odd thing was that they looked good in the 4th quarter though.

He wasn't perfect, but he didn't look nearly as bad as some of this board was saying.

He's not very athletic for a LT, but he usually gets the job done.

I'm actually surprised to see Demario Davis that high, he still puts out great effort and is the heart of this defense but I thought he looked a step slower on a few plays

It's only game 1, but I was hoping for a bit more from Roby based off all the camp reports we heard. Hopefully he bounces back once he goes back to nickel when Adebo comes back

Surprised Hurst's score wasn't worse than that

Nick Underhill said that he thought Mathieu was our best player on defense.

I wouldn’t judge too much on these grades for week 1. It was very obvious the saints were playing a conservative defense to try not to give up any big plays. They essentially had no film on this offense since they have had Ryan at QB for the past decade. They were having their D Line play contain more than actually rushing the passer to try to force mariota to run in lanes that would prevent a big gain.

Our Guard play is so bad. Looks like we will be drafting a guard or two this year. This is going to be a problem all year unfortunately.

James Hurst - 75.7

How is this possible? He was like a turnstile for the majority of the game.

If I remember correctly he gave up a few catches and appeared to have some misreads on RPOs. But, he was also responsible for some big plays

Such an odd "line in the sand" thing when every other position is what people care about.

-Payton Turner - 29.7

Too bad ST plays don't count, his block would double this score

quote:

-Marshon Lattimore - 65.4

Wonder how much his score was affected by his 2 penalties at key moments in the game

I said a few times in the game day thread he wasn’t the main issue. Some of it was scheme, lot of it was on Winston holding on to the ball to long or not recognizing where the blitz was coming from.

Davenport or Turner were invisible out there. 3 first round picks between them and nothing. They better come to play next week.

Our DE's weren't being told to go straight for the QB. They were being told to contain him while also rushing the passer.

It's like trying to have sex with a limp dick. You're being held back & you can't get the job done.

You expect Peat to suck but to see Turner and Ruiz among our worst players... Not good

Not sure why Werner isn't higher. He made more plays than Davis and even received praise from Davis after the game for being all over the field.

Two first round picks with damn near the worst two scores (Payton, Ruiz).
