For the last month I felt like DT was a huge need and the no doubt first round consensus pick. I don’t believe that anymore. TE is always fun because the jimmy graham nostalgia is still alive and well. The weapon / toy we don’t feel guilty about coveting, But recently it feels like the safety and linebacker group is thin. Losing DD would be catastrophic.

My Ranking is as follows:
Traditional MLB or Safety with highest graded other option. We can pickup a DT in the middle rounds.

But what is your needs ranking?

This is a true best available draft to me. No glaring needs other than dline but I agree that can be filled in the later rounds.

Everybody keeps saying DL but if Davis or Werner gets hurt we have nothing but special teams gunners behind them

well #1 has to be head coach and GM

but as far as players, i would like to see a real pash rush specialist that averages at minimum a sack every game as well as a solid o-line pass protection guy

beyond that its BPA with pass defense coverage on top of the want list

So would every team in the NFL, this equates to the best pash rusher in the NFL most of the time.

Thats because we use 2 LB'ers mostly. What do you want them to do? Sit in the stands?

I agree with the LB need but not in the 1st or 2nd round. We have two very good starting LB. I don't want to spend a high pick on a backup. We can find a LB, or safety, in rounds 3-5. DT is still the top need, I don't know how you think otherwise. Who are our starters?

The Saints signed a tandem at defensive tackle in Nathan Shepherd and Khalen Saunders. Re-signing Malcolm Roach….

I know we need a DT I just don’t know if we need a 1st rounder. Maybe depending on the drop off.

Who is Davis backup?

Kaden Ellis Of course he made bank with the birds.

If the Saints didn't see good backups on the roster for our two LB's they would have picked up a higher end LB in FA.

Dowell or De Marco Jackson I imagine.

We got two FA LB's in Summers and Connelly. Don't know who makes it through camp as I'm sure we pick up a couple of rookie Lb's during and after the draft. The room does need more compitition in camp.

You see any certifiable starters here? You're kind of making my point here.

If there is such a thing, they go in the top of the 1st round. VON MILLER, KAHLIL MACK

Benton from Wisconsin is my guy at DT for pick 29, but Wright on the OL from Tennessee would be hard to pass up.

If I'm honest, I would have love going Kancey at 29 and Mazi Smith at 40, but Kancey will not fall that far.

Might as well add QB on there too. I’d move OC higher up in the rankings.

If I’m the Saints I’m taking 2 Dline picks in the first 4 rounds.
