When you try to make it about motor when the number 1 trait scouts have been giving Anderson credit for is his motor it kind of makes it seem like it might be about something else.

Fits the Loomis profile. Send them our 1st and 2nd rounders in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

I didn't say anything about race here, I'm simply saying they have the total package of assets and skill, not just motor. Of course motor is extremely important, probably more so than talent because talent with no drive is like a Ferrari with no gas pedal.

They definitely love wasting their time with smoke screens. But, at the same time, they love interviewing top prospects to learn about their opponents. This interview could be more about an OT they are targeting than trying to grab him if he falls.

I really really hope we don’t trade up for this guy. We would have to give away way too much. Hopefully Allen and Loomis learned their lesson from Davenport, Turner, Baun, and countless other examples in past Saints drafts.Trading up is almost never worth it unless you get a franchise QB.

I mean there’s a scenario where him and Carter fall to 9 or so. I could see the Bears trading away the pick. Neither is likely but it’s probably the Saints preparing to go get him if it happens, which is less than 5%

If the Bears had held on to the #1 overall pick, it may well have been him.
I know it’s EXTREMELY unlikely, but I’m wondering how much capital the Saints would expend to move up to #2?

at least all our picks this year plus our 1st and 2nds for the next 5 years.
but this is the saints, so they are very likely to do something like this, they hate having future draft picks, and would rather set fire to them

In 2021 San Francisco traded with Miami to jump from 12 to 3. That 9 spot jump cost them #12 overall, a 2022 1st and 3rd, as well as a 2023 1st.
Saints would be moving up 26 spots. Just for reference.
The haul they'd have to give would be unfathomable.
