He was good with the Dolphins. Finished his career with just over 10K rushing yards. Not HOFer nor live up to the insane hype but still good career

Imagine if he cared about football as much as he cared about wacky weed.

He'd be a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Instead of the ring of honor - would we would put a plaque on bench where he sat?

No doubt saints got royally screws in 2011, but the prevent defense really screwed us, iirc.

Usually I would agree, but Jerry Kramer was not only on the 1960s team of the decade, but also on the first 50 years team, and it took him 50 years to make the Hall.

No offense, but Jari Evans is the only one I consider "good enough" to be considered for the NFL Hall of Fame.

I like all of those Saints, but they belong in the Saints HOF, but not the NFL HOF.

I am starting to notice that guys that were just "good" NFL players are now being considered for induction. I don't like lowering the standard just to get more guys in. It waters down the exclusivity / rarity and therefore diminishes the honor.

I see this "lowering of the standard" as a pervasive problem across all areas of American life. People forget that high standards is what separates the elite from the average. Never settle.
