The prevent defense keeps you from giving up 60 yards in 10 seconds, but it guarantees to give up about three plays in a row of 20 yards within a minute.
I don't understand running it when you have plenty of time left. And I don't understand why coaches continue to do it over and over and over and over again . It's only for certain situations. Not for an entire freaking quarter and then when you get the ball back go three and out with three runs in a row and give the ball right back to them and play prevent defense again
It's literally saying we will definitely let you score right now but it's gonna take you about a minute or two.

We blitzed a bunch during the 4th.

Emerson missed on one blitz where he came free. I'm not dumping on him because he had 2 INT's and without those, I'm totally sure we win.
Ellis needs to get back. He can be utilized as a pass rusher. That will make things better, I guess. The posters on here that thought losing Bresee probably wouldn't make a difference are seeing that you need all hands-on deck but injuries happen to every team. Our team cannot afford very many because the depth just isn't there.

They left all the Giants receivers wide open and didn’t even attempt to pressure the quarterback. The one time they did he was sacked. Actually it happened again and he made an ill advised throw that our DBs should have intercepted but we allowed the catch because they suck.

We definitely tried. I know we blitzed on the play where JJ had the long run.

What we did was even worse. We threw incomplete passes on second and third down when we had a 16-point lead. If we just took that extra 70-80 seconds off the clock it doesn't get scary at the end.
