No matter who is in there except Bresee are getting pushed 3-5 yards back every play. If they are double teamed it's almost embarrassing. Bresee is a rookie and DT is a position that takes a few years to mold to. He's played fine, but the others are obviously just rotation players. We lost 3 DTs to FA this past season.

DD is getting slower and obviously Cam isn't what he used to be. I feel our secondary is a strength, I don't think we are far off on having a good D for the future, I agree we need a new coaching staff. LB is a concern but honestly if we luck up and get a good young one at middle we'll be fine. Maybe Werner can play better in the future, but if we don't fix DT, no LB is going to play good behind them. Granderson has dropped off 2nd half of season but he has potential to still be really good in the future. Sucks we are relying on Foskey or P. Turner to turn it around, Foskey is a rookie so not going to give up on him.

We've had some solid, not elite DTs the last few years. It makes a big difference to go from solid/good to poor at that position, especially against the run. I honestly don't even know why teams double team our DTs, no need to outside of Bresee.

Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois.

Would be a hell of a pick. Saints definitely need to beef up both sides of their lines.

We need to move Cam Jordan inside, as we are stuck with him at least another season. He has nothing left outside of bullrush.

As much as I really want this team to draft their future QB in round 1 this year the smart move is going to be to pick one of the top O-linement or D-linemen.

You have to hope the guys like Penning, Foskey, Young and Turner can somehow get their careers on track but you can not rely solely on that hope.

The saints will go as their big men up from go.

Yeah when I saw that we were going into the season with a plan to start 2 randos I had never heard of at DT in Shepherd and Saunders I knew it would be a disaster. Wish they would let Bresee be an every down player but maybe he's not there yet.

Bresee was looking good early in the season, but I don't think I have even noticed him since about week 4.

Am I the only one?

I think Bresee may have hit a bit of a rookie wall which is typical for rookie linemen. Still think he’s going to be awesome and should be starting next year.

Granderson and Breese are only ones to keep. D line is another position of need for new coaching staff.
