The move saves 13 mil in cap. How likely are we to re-sign him? I really like what he brought to the table, although he’s a bit injury prone.

If he comes back healthy you have to re-sign him. The defense totally changed(in a good way) when he was on the field.

Seems somewhat unlikely...they would have just extended him and pushed the cap hit further down the line.

If he doesnt get free agency interest then maybe we can get him on a cheap deal

Well that's a big number. Thought the word here was we couldn't do it while he's hurt

NFL is going to be pissed when the Saints bring back almost everyone and trade for Wilson

well that's the thing about Kwon, dude just cannot stay healthy....now we're throwing in recovering from an achilles injury suffered late in the season? I mean sure I'll do the league minimum halfway into the season but that's about it.

This was more than likely gonna happen to avoid the cap hit.

I really hope they can bring him back and I think they want to.

The defense went from being good to elite once he entered the fold. It's the sole reason the Bucs were able to dink and dunk us to death with Fournette out of the backfield. Anzalone looked so slow.

I cant see anyone investing in him long term at this point.

Im guessing he'll look around for a bit to see what he can get and if nothing substantial comes up he'll be back with the Saints

Hopefully we can somehow get him back on the cheap, but cutting him and saving that $13 million with zero dead money was the biggest no-brainer move of the offseason.

Probably the right move. I hope we re-sign him, but I guess we couldn't take a gamble on him at that salary with his injury status being uncertain.

his cut literally means nothing about us resigning him or not.

Think Saints are still like 35 mill over the cap with all these moves. We can maybe gget that down to about 20 mill over with extending of Marcus/Ramczyk.

This. It’s a no brained to save the money and see if he can come back when fully healthy later in the season.

My hope is that Baun is able to step up this year. We have some you f linebacker talent, it’s just very inexperienced besides Davis.

Interested to see what they do with Craig Robertson this year. Special teams ace but not really a guy the bring in on defense.

Maybe go after Jabril Cox or K.J. Britt in the draft? Zach Braun wasn't seen much this past year.

of course.... extending all 3 seems a bit unrealistic. I see Lattimore as being the more difficult extension at this time but that's just my opinion. I think both sides may be more comfortable playing out the 5th year option and go from there with Latt.

Is this final, or just speculation. Everyone I see talking about it (Rap, Duncan) are just speculating and trying to connect the dots

League minimum?

He is supposed to be ready by game 1 and will get more than that.

Perfect fit for this defense. He was always going to get cut yet. Didn't make sense to extend him

yeah everyone is always ahead of schedule in rehab in the offseason.

It generally takes close to a year to recover from an achiiles, Kwon suffered the injury in late December...but sure he'll be ready to go week one chalky.
