The #Saints are basically right up against the 2023 salary cap already with some moves not yet being processed.

Spotrac currently has them at $118k under the cap with only 30 players. So, see y’all next year for more salary cap wizardry.

See you next year for Restructure Theater.

It is better to sign players under smaller salary cap years and restructure later.

At this point is it "wizardry"? Seems like it should just be "the way".

I've noticed more teams are doing similar things as the Saints have to free up space. Seems like it's malpractice not to.

Loomis and Harley will sort it as per always. Cap nerds continue to be in denial.

This is going to be true until the day our window completely closes and there’s nothing left to do but blow everything up and start over. It’s just the way it is

The idea is to kick the can until after the first real post Covid system which should get a big cap uptick. May be a crap shoot but some current speculation is it could the 2023 season's cap that takes a big jump. Of course a lot of people thought there would be a larger increase for 2022 so who knows.

That's a 2023 problem.

I'm only worried about 2022 problems and even then, I'm not worried.

Teams up against the cap are definitely starting to add dummy years.
