I agree. It really is sad. He was on top of the world a decade ago and now he can’t toss a ball and all his former fans hate his guts. I hope after he retires he can GTFO to a quiet place and live out his life in peace. Brees doesn’t owe shite to anybody but himself.

Imagine being the beloved face of a franchise and throwing that largely away because you compromised your principles to placate an awful free agency pickup who berated you publicly and can’t cover Foster Moreau.

Ugh! So, so afraid you are correct. May be a long season & very sad to watch him continue to try to compete.

I’ll always cherish the many great years Brees gave to the franchise and city. He’s been really fun to watch and is a great guy at heart. However, it’s obvious his physical abilities have deteriorated drastically. I hate that he didn’t get to retire in 2018 as a world champion. On top of all that, he sold out to the mob and nut job liberals. It’s painful to watch at this point.

What’s worse is he’s scared to death it looks like.

He had a look on his face when the offense was struggling tonight that I've never seen from him before. The team has had bad games before & we've seen him frustrated but this was something different from that.

Yeah, his confidence and leadership looks like its gone.

Not really it’s his own fault. When you say you can play X amount of years and you are in your 40’s, that is the stupid statement. A quarterback hitting 40 and still playing is rare but once that magically number is hit, at the snap of your fingers that talent can just disappear from one season to the next. Body just can’t keep up at that level especially throwing a ball.
