i realize a lot of the the reason why are such a great screen team is breeze and thomas, but how do y'all think our ability to run screens successfully will be affected with Nicks gone?

Minimal effect on our screen game.

None. The screen is a play that takes patience and vision and mostly by the QB and RB. Should not see a decrease in production at all.

If Grubbs comes in, the screen game may get even better. Grubbs is excellent on screens, and is a bad mother fricker at pulling.

lets be real here, you cant completely diminish Nicks' role in the Screen game. He did bust his arse and get down field for blocks. More often than not he pancaked the LB/DB's
Another Guard should be able to get down the field and throw blocks as well. Whether or not he completely road blocks the defense is another thing.

There is no question, Nicks is an outstanding guard. I am just saying that Grubbs would not be far off. He is excellent on screens.

I mention breeze in terms of head fakes, pump fakes, looking off the D etc. there is no argument, he sets them up well and doesn't really telegraph the play.look how bad Jefferson was at screens for LSU. The qb does matter to an extent.
