That's what was frustrating me last year. It would be 3rd and short and we'd be running vertical routes. Our short to intermediate passing game all but disappeared for stretches.

Lets get both after cutting Vilma, Harper, Smith, Jenkins, White, Greer, and everyone else on defense except for Cam Jordan, Montez, and Hicks.

WR speed is something I think CSP has clearly now seen as much needed Paddy. All of the recv's he's picked up are 6'fast".

Fayson
Hakeem
Givens
Morgan
Parker

Perhaps better seperation for the WR's.
And more trust in the short routes.
AIH would approve

I'm pretty excited about Morgan's potential. Dude grew A LOT from redskins game to the end of the year. I wish we knew a little more about Toon. My brother and I talk all the time about what it would be like to have a really elite young WR talent like Dez, Julio, AJ Green, etc that Drew could groom.

I know what you mean. Didn't seem like the screen game was used as much as Payton uses it either.

estimates from comments-

rotoworld today-
SI's Peter King expects the Saints to be "very aggressive" in attempting to re-sign free agent LT Jermon Bushrod before Tuesday.
If left unsigned Bushrod would hit the market on Tuesday as a top-three left tackle, behind only Jake Long and probably ahead of Sam Baker. While not an elite blindside protector, Bushrod has done just well enough to keep Drew Brees' jersey clean as a starter the past four seasons. We suspect Bushrod would gladly accept a contract worth $7 million annually, just less than Will Beatty's.

Beatty- Updating a previous item, Giants LT Will Beatty's new five-year contract is worth $37.5 million.
The sum was announced at $38.75 million, but that includes $1.25 million in escalators available on Beatty's 2014-2017 salaries that may or may not be earned. Beatty's contract is fully guaranteed in 2013 and 2014, and he'll collect $24 million over the first three years. The deal's annual average is $7.5 million.

Long-
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that free agent LT Jake Long is seeking $11 million per year on his next contract.
The Miami Herald reported late in January that Long was looking for upwards of $10 million annually. The Dolphins are reportedly only willing to give him around $6-7 million per year, so his chances of returning are looking slim if what Rapoport is hearing is true. Our own Evan Silva predicts a re-signing with the Dolphins for five years and $37.5 million after hitting the market exposes Long's value as not as rich as he hopes. Mar 3 - 12:47 PM

--It comes down to the asking price. Say Bushman averaging $7mil a year. I'd certainly go Long for that and a skosh under $9mil. $9mil+ I go Bushhog.

Suggested before, my GM move would be to go cheaper still with a short term fill with someone like Bryant McKinnie. He was only $2.2mil last year.

Give a good final shot with Brown if there's any chance for him. If not come up with a long term answer later. Draft Faulk in the 3rd. Several other good mid round potentials. Prolly the best area of player development in the Payton era has been the O Line.

Yeah i agree with this, and save that contract for Graham.
