RULE NAZI!!!!

Regarding replay, the officials should defer to a replay official in the booth who determines what happened. Such plays should be limited to calls that are questionable, such as whether or not a touchdown or first down occurred, catches, etc. In the event of a play that at the time seems to have any doubt, the referee should immediately call up to the replay official and simply ask, "was the receiver in or out of bounds" or "should I award a touchdown", etc.
No challenges. No official going over his own work. Just a simple, "hey, it was close, please check"

do people know the rules now a days?
No, they don't, as evidenced by the Internet Tough Guy thread from a couple days back with people complaining about the decision to suspend players for flagrant personal fouls.

I'd like to see ball carriers get called for hands to the face. They stiff-arm the grill of the defender all the time and never get called. It's a double standard.

Also, you must be at least "this" hot to join the saintsations. Aside from a few hot ones the squad is comprised of dump trucks and sea donkeys.
lulz. I have started many a threads on this exact subject with proof that our squad is manly. it's a damn shame.

I think we need an example of how hot "this hot" is...

The difference being they don't grab the facemask and try to yank anyone away. If they grabbed and yanked at all it'd get called, they just put their hand up and block them.

The rule change that I would most like to see is to require tacklers to at least attempt to wrap up.

THIS
maybe then Marshawn Lynch wouldn't have scored on that last TD!

I agree with all of them except #3. DBs would just exploit that to hell and literally tackle WRs when they lose position on them.

"This hot"
Not a fuggo among them.

Why do people keep believing this would happen. If you're in position to tackle a WR then why not just go for the ball? You don't see this problem in college so I don't see why it would be a problem in the NFL.

Could there be a difference in the talent pool...New Orleans vs Tampa

The QB spiking the ball to stop the clock should be considered intentional grounding. He's not throwing to anyone. So what's the difference? Not a thing. Penalty.

It would really cut down on concussions and other injuries.
Posted on 3/19/11 at 11:37 am to Sophandros
let coaches challenge anything --including P.I., roughing, and any other judgment calls
Posted on 3/19/11 at 11:50 am to gizmoflak
I would completely remove it from the coaches' hands and place all decisions to review with the officials. Additionally, the guy in the booth, not a ref on the field, should determine whether a call is correct.
