The guy made a frick tarded statement

So following someone who hit your car immediately means you volunteer all future self defense possibilities?

That is dumb as shite

Person hits my car and runs. I follow them. Person sees me following them so they get out their car and point a gun at me threatening to kill me

According to poster, I am still a murderer and have no self defense rights because I followed

Disclaimer: I am not at all saying this is what happened

So was Pierre Thomas in Smith's car or no??

I am wondering the same thing. Didn't seem to see or hear him in that video. If he was in the SUV, damn.

If someone runs into my vehicle and leaves the scene, I'm simply calling the cops and staying put for a formal police report to file on my insurance claim. No vehicle is worth a fight with someone that obviously gave zero shits that they were involved in an accident with me. I have a family a home that depends on me to come home the same way I left them in the morning. This is also the reason I have full coverage on both of my vehicles. If that makes me a frick tard for making such a statement, so be it.

Hayes forfeited all of his rights if the story is correct that he followed Smith and rear ended him to stop him. This is clearly being the aggressor when it has also been stated that Smith was not the one that rear-ended Hayes, which is evident by no damage on Smith's Mercedes.

I can promise you this as it has happened to me, if Smith rear ended him and ran off, and he was on the phone with the operator chasing Smith, they would have told him to take the license plate down and stop pursuing. It's happened to me in the east and I tried to follow the car that hit me and the operator told me repeatedly to not pursue the car for my safety and the other car's.

That's damn good advice.

I agree with everything you said. But your statement is still frick tarded. You didn't say you wouldn't follow someone. You said if you were on a jury, nothing that happened after the following would matter. Which is so stupid I can't comprehend your brain process in getting there

I'm saying that IF the story is correct that Hayes followed Smith as a result of being rear-ended then rear-ended Smith to stop him, which led to an argument that ended with Smith being shot in the back and died as a result of his injuries, nothing in this world convinces me that he's not the aggressor and is not guilty of murder.

If this stupid mother fricker stats put after being rear-ended, Smith is alive today and he's enjoying life as a free man that is a father to the five year old daughter he was raising as a single parent.

I don't disagree with this either

really is, especially with this city you don't know WTF may or may not happen. I simply followed to make sure I could get the car and license plate number, which I did.

Unfortunately, NOPD didn't want to do crap about it even with full description of the car, make, model, color, generation, license plate, state, decal on the car, and description of driver. I was detailed in my 911 call...yet not a single thing came out of it.

Sorry if I lead you to believe Smith rear-ended the scumbag. I believe the killer knew ahead of time (pre-meditated) and hit Smith on purpose. Lots of those involved knew each other. Just a sad, sad situation.

It looks as if smith originally rear ended the shooter.

Nobody needed to die over this, and if smith had just pulled over, nobody would have.

I'm guessing he thought running was better than a DUI.

Hayes chased him and ran into him. Smith gets out pissed, they threatened each other, smith goes back to car for his gun and hayes shoots first.

And all preventable

That's my assumption at this point.

And they will be able to reconstruct the crash and figure out the answer to your question
