it all depends on how it went down... and of course what the witnesses say. if the witness testimony paints smith as the aggressor and then he claims he has a gun and reaches in his vehicle in an attempt to grab the gun, good chance this guy walks.

But lesson for people, don't ever "tell someone you have a gun" in a fight situation. That is always taught number 1 in a defense class. It gives you a damn good chance of being shot.

Drew just said he shot Will, turned the gun on his wife and started shooting and also shot up the back seat. Then turned the gun back on Will and shot him again.

Great post. I lived in NOLA for 28 years and watched a great city go down the sewer. It started with crack cocaine in the early '80s. Such a shame, especially for Will's family and friends. What a crying shame.
It's not the firearms, it's the dumbass pulling the trigger.

Are you trained in these scenarios? I guess I'm the idiot that is permitted by the state to carry a concealed firearm and do so damn near everywhere I go. I cannot shoot someone for telling me they have a gun, nor can I shoot someone for raising their shirt to show me they have one in their waist band. I can lawfully shoot someone if they are pointing a gun at me, or committing a violent felony (bank robbery, rape, mass shooting, etc), but saying one has a gun is not grounds for any defense, anywhere.

I can promise you this as it has happened to me, if Smith rear ended him and ran off, and he was on the phone with the operator chasing Smith, they would have told him to take the license plate down and stop pursuing. It's happened to me in the east and I tried to follow the car that hit me and the operator told me repeatedly to not pursue the car for my safety and the other car's.
