Despite ‘increased patrols’ car break-ins continue before, during and after Saints game Sunday in numerous locations.

I’d like to see some crazy person hide in their vehicle while waiting on them.

LOL let's be real here, there are no increased patrols. They're doing exactly what they did before, absolutely nothing.

Gotta ask - did you have any valuables visible? I'd like to think they break in to either steal something they see or the car itself.

Thieves have to fear punishment to actually stop breaking the law… Latoya showing up to support you at your court hearing doesn’t exactly instill fear…

Or they just have to fear. If a few get shot either by a real gun or a pellet gun in the eye by someone hiding in the dark, I think the game changes for these thugs

Not Islamic, but if their punishment for stealing was installed in the US, it would solve the problem quickly

Take all identification off the car and set it to blow up when they break in...

N.O. Gets what it voted for, she will destroy everything good in that city before she’s gone. They don’t patrol because they don’t have enough officers because they cannot do their job without fear of persecution. The perfect example of inmates running the asylum but that’s in most dimocrat run cities and that’s a fact not stereotype

Gotta love Democratically run cities. I hope people there wake up and vote some of these idiotic politicians out of the city.

It was the latest rash of break-ins by opportunistic thieves who for months have been targeting the parked vehicles of fans and tourists in downtown area. The problem has prompted concern from residents as well as officials with the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans, who met with the NOPD and the mayor's office last week, according to the Greg Bensel, the organization's spokesperson.

"We find ourselves having to defend our city not only to the national media but also to the NFL and NBA," Bensel said.

Not a good look. It wouldnt surprise me if the ‘25 Super Bowl is the last for NOLA, either because the Saints are gone in the next decade or the leagues say enough.

The NFL is aware as posters here on the Saints and OT board about the failure that is NOLA.

I love how people say things they have no idea about.

There was definitely a larger police presence around the Dome and parking garage on Sunday then there normally is. It was noticeable. These break-ins happened a few blocks away.

You are exactly right ,Crooks need to fear that there will be repercussions for their crimes. Unfortunately NOLA and many cities in this country let these thugs run free. The paper from the police report isn't dry before they are out the door . People need to defend themselves legally if the police can't ,if you don't want to do that then don't come to NOLA . Money talks and BS walks! Destroya are you listening??

The thugs are looking for guns. They know most baws have truck guns in their consoles and that they can't take them into the game.

Stop victim blaming.

stfu it's a fair question to ask. Plenty of people leave something visible which is why their car gets broken into instead of the car next to theirs. It's not the fault of the car owner for other people being giant pieces of shite.

ETA: he said plainly it was car windows, not truck windows so there goes your theory as to why his car specifically was broken into.
