Sigh…the fight was a 4th AND 7th round picks were too much for Vele, for his talent and age, and not in line with other WR trade compensation. It still was too much. He’s solid but has 69 yards in two games. He’ll be a nice 3rd receiver when Tyson is back but yeah.

Just for one example, Keenan Allen would have cost 0 draft picks last year.

He's averaging 67 yards/game, he doesn't have 69 in two games.

Vele has had six catches that resulted in a first down.
He's a decent blocking WR as well.
It took some time for him to get going but he's turning into a valuable piece for sure.
