hahaha people actually believe this? I could see thinking this might've happened back before every person at the game carried a studio quality video camera in their pocket and had the ability to post a video that could be seen by millions within the hour.

They do get graded, and there are consequences. Just because they don't get tarred and feathered in public doesn't mean there aren't loss of playoff assignments (also primetime/"special" games), and other punishments (suspensions, etc). Also now they have much more input from New York to help overrule incorrect calls before they are even announced.

Every fan thinks the "refs" are out to get their favorite team. It just isn't the case, these people make mistakes just like I do, everyday. The problem is there's millions of people watching replays of that mistake over, and over Just like MLB umpires that are ~95% correct when calling balls and strikes, they're the best at what they do... doesn't mean they will get every call correct.

tbf Etienne splitting with Miller probably didn't help. Even if you take away Etienne's best run I think he still averaged 3.5 to 4/carry. Also, catching 7 of 9 targets was a good start for game 1.
