Remember when Carmichael Jr. didn't want to be O-Coordinator? Let's do him a favor.

Very similar to the P.R. spin put up by LSU that "Coach Ensminger" really didn't personally want to be the Offensive Coordinator, the same spin was leaked to Saints Fans for us to be so grateful for Coach Pete Carmichael Jr. when he wasn't interviewed for Head Coach.
Let's do Pete the favor and demote him on Monday. He can coach the Fullbacks for the rest of the season.
We can then do a simple quiz to all of the remaining Offensive Coaches and if they pass, they each get a week to be Interim O.C.
Quiz Question: What would you run on 2nd and 10 at the 50 yard line?
A. The same exact Run Play into the teeth of the defense that you tried the past three 2nd & Longs?
B. Anything else BUT the Run Play referenced in "A".

We all know Payton was the “real” offensive coordinator. Carmichael‘s a great assistant but not a true leader.

I mean how does a professional organization who could have literally picked any up and coming offensive mind settle for a coach who didn’t want the job?

Bienemy is just another Pete Carmichael. He’s had quite a few interviews and the rumor is he has been far from impressive. I don’t think replacing pete Carmichael with Pete Carmichael is the route we should go. Reid runs that offense just like Payton ran ours.

I think we will be in a good spot for our next hire. Unfortunately we will have to deal with this product until then. The timing of everything this offseason didn’t help though. The saints had to somewhat scramble to get their guy. I agree they should have went with a young offensive mind but on the bright side Allen isn’t locked into some crazy contract we can’t get out of

of Offensive players when they screwed up,held them
accountable. We dont`have that now there
is no accountability.Both DA and PC are very passive.You
need either OC or HC to get on their asses when they F up.

It goes a little deeper than this, but correct. Carmichael is not made for the role to be blunt with his players or his assistant coaches. No way should this offense be this undisciplined except for the fact that Carmichael is not being a good leader and demanding excellence on his players and his coaches.
What Allen needs is an OC that is what Allen was for Payton. A coordinator that took control and OWNED his side of the ball.
Loomis and Allen cannot let this go much longer. If the offense shows no improvements and major changes after four games then a change has to be made. This sounds rash but if the purpose was to maintain the clubhouse and chemistry built during the Payton years then, letting this offense continue undisciplined is going to be a cancer that infects the whole team. Carmichael has to man up and either take control like he owns it or man up and admit hes not up for the job.

Exactly —our Def is legit. Championship worthy.
We have the most weapons we’ve ever had on Off and yet I have no clue what the hell we are doing. We have no identity. The stuff that works, we only run it when we’re are down by 14 pts. Just image if we opened the game up with the fast pace spread off.
