What's confusing to you?
Posted on 12/16/17 at 12:18 pm to saintsfan22
isn't he working for NFL Network?
Posted on 12/16/17 at 12:22 pm to CajunsTigersSaints
He's been on there a few times but I don't think he officially works there.

Fair enough. With those guys recently cut, and he came out to say he's not. He might get offered a job

I was thinking that same thing. They're gonna have some openings with the number of guys they're gonna fire
Back to overall point - Reggie was a good player for us and I was sad to see him go.

I like this

way over rated as a straight up RB but the man was a great scat back specialty player who could drive defenses crazy trying to account for him
cant believe he wants to retire already but it would be nice if he retired as a saint

Please don’t make this an LSU thing. USC not in the same stratosphere as LSU

Didn’t he have one game with nearly 2 or 3 huge punt returns?
Posted on 12/16/17 at 2:38 pm to beauchristopher
There is a link to those highlights on the previous page.

Thanks for the memories, Reggie.

That dude is an athletic specimen. Unreal agility.
Favorite bush play, Cards. Juked two defenders inside a group of them. Finished off with the TD. Just to have enough agility to make that move in traffic is unreal.
Loved Saint Reggie.

I can still remember when word spread the Texans were going with Mario, I was so insanely jacked reggie was going to fall into our lap....then his first carry in his first preseason game against the titans he reverses field for a huge gain, thought that was going to be the beginning of some amazing stuff. So he didn't quite live up to the hype, but still had more than his fair share of ridiculous plays.

Think it was a Vikings mnf game. Dude was electric.

Great performance by Bush on the punt returns but seeing Bullocks, Kaeshvon (sp?) and David in the secondary.......YUCK!!!
Always thought Bush was one of the most under appreciated players on those teams

Loved Reggie.
If I didn’t, was it because I don’t like USC? Sorry that’s only for Bammer playahs

Part of the reason he failed to live up to his hype was because his hype was pretty irrationally high. Even at USC he had LenDale White to do the dirty work, and Bush was the guy who came in to switch it into another gear. People were saying Bush would be the next Barry Sanders by idiots who had probably never seen Barry Sanders play a down.
He had a pretty damn good career and won a title. He was a threat to break one wherever he was, whether it be off a screen or a wheel route or even breaking a rush or returning a punt. He had three seasons near or over 1000 yards rushing, albeit with extra carries than the Saints gave him because they had Thomas and even Bell sometimes, but even on the Saints he had pretty respectable YPC marks.
But RBs have probably the shortest shelf life of any position in the game, so he kinda fizzled out after those three years where he had a higher carry workload on the Dolphins and Lions and injuries caught up with him. He was never a bruiser to be an every down back, even in college. So even though he did pretty well as the main guy after he left here I still feel like we utilized him correctly and he probably could have played at a high level longer had he not been run into the ground like he was.
I really hope he can have a Deuce moment where he leads us out the tunnel or even suits up. He has nothing to be ashamed of regarding his legacy imo.
