Statistically one of the best quarterbacks ever but will another super bowl win finally give him the credit he deserves?

At least another year.

Does he not get respect?

He’s one of the most respected players in the league. He’s considered a HOFer by players, coaches, and analysts already. If respect level went from 0-100 he’s already at 100.

Both sides of the ball are not too old. Brees, Ginn, Unger are maybe the only 3 that are “older” players on offense. Defense is really young too. So I would think he has a couple more years at a “shot”.

The window is back open. If anything next year is probably a better shot considering all of the guys on IR we get back.

But not punting this year yet until it's over. We've got the best QB in the NFC playoffs.

I say the window for Drew to win another super bowl is 3-4 years (counting this year as well). So 2-3 years after this year. Next year we will be LOADED when all the guys from IR come back. However, we can win it this year

I dont have a problem saying it is his last shot. we play in a tough division and the payton regime hasnt really been able to string good seasons together, outside of 09-11.

I know one thing, he better play like it is his last shot. nothing is guaranteed in the league, ask marino.

Cowherd on Fox Sports has him in the Super Bowl against Brady. He says they're the two best QBs in the playoffs.

I think the Saints are really a year away. Our first string is good enough on both sides of the ball, we just need a little more depth.

Nowhere near as much as he deserves.

I agree with OP.

-no Rodgers
-no wentz
-historically good RB duo
-a realistic path to the Super Bowl

Next season the schedule looks way worse. Rodgers will be back, Wentz will be back. Cowboys will be better as will the Bucs.

Saints need to take advantage of this and win the damn thing. I hope Payton has his players realizing Brees deserves one last legitimate shot.
