I don't even know how you overcome 50mil+ in the whole before you even start to build a team.

This is the 4th or 5th year in a row the team has been here (or worse) with a month to get compliant. The way you do it is gut your depth with lesser talent and undrafted players. That way when you field your starting 22 you look like a legit team, as soon as injuries kick in you look like...well this team

We should do everything in our power to win 0-2 games next year, so we can actually draft a QB prospect worth a damn

So 8-9 or 9-8

But this league changes in an instant, see: Commanders.

It’s just impossible to really know what this team really looks like

Commanders had the most cap space in the league coming into this season and landed Jayden

Things can certainly change quickly when you have money and a QB. The teams I listed with top 10 picks and top 10 cap space are the ones who can change their landscape fairly quickly. Maybe we will be there in 2 two years

Depends. If Carr is still here and we hit on some picks, I’d expect 7-8 wins tbh.

If they go ahead and cut Carr, I’d be more than fine with a 3-5 win season so we could get a top pick and get Moore the QB he wants.

I’m totally fine either way. I won’t fully judge him until Year 3. Hit on some picks, develop the players, find your QB, be mostly out of cap hell by then.

Yep. Which is why I’m fine with being dead last the next two years. Moore deserves 3-4 years at least.

First two years: 4-13 and 5-12 is just fine as long as by Year 3 he has his QB and we improve to 8-9 wins. He would earn that 4th year where we might see a jump depending on how well we draft. We’re due to start hitting on picks after having such a miserable run the last few years. Even having a couple of 2016 type drafts and not home runs like 2017 would do wonders for this team

Peak is 10 wins.
Floor is 5 wins.

Reality is 7 wins barring health

Why do people do this every year lol. Free agency has not started. Don't know what the final roster will look like not only for Saints but other teams.

Realistic goal should be 6 wins. The Saints won 5 and 6 of the losses ( including to Philly) was by 8 points or less. Win half of those and the Saints had 8. That was with all the injuries and a HC that sucked plus an interim HC who was the ST coordinator.

Let's just wait until training camp before these threads start.

10-7 division winner. 2006 all over again. Hey, one can dream, right? You figure Atlanta will move away from Cousins, and go with Penix, the jury is still out on Bryce Young, and Tampa Bay will be solid.
