Thank goodness they drafted a receiver. I thought Payton and Loomis were going to get fired if they didn’t. Saints talk has so many good GM and coach candidates on Saints Talk that they are on the hot seat.

When you draft Rick Leonard in the 4th f’ing round, you should be on the hot seat....

Proud day for USA!
Baker is a helluva player who may have slipped under the radar due to suspect o line play (pass protection) and instability at QB.
He is game.
Trust me

Watched every video on that web page. Guy looks like a hard worker, great hands, good speed. Can’t wait to see him this year

Can’t believe Terry was right there and we passed over him for this guy

Doesn't it tell you something that terry was still there with that size and speed

you have no clue about Baker do you?

You’re a South alabama fan so you know more about him than I do, but Terry is an absolute game breaker

Baker is a smart player who lines up in the slot and outside and he plays tough when the ball is in his hands.
you may think I'm just a fantard pumping him up but I shot down some idiot's thread on here a few years ago about Brandon Bridge (former USA QB) trying to talk him up.
I've seen him play.
I know what he caN do.

Happy for Kawaan and the Jags! Glad the Saints picked him up.

Obviously the EXPERTS think Baker is better.

It was 3 years ago. Get over it. It is not uncommon for good teams to cut 4th rounders. Hell at least we didn’t draft Isaiah Wilson last year in the first
It is also worth noting that Leonard is still in the league on a future’s contract with Washington. Teams are still willing to take a flier on him 3 years. He was a big but raw tackle with good movement skills. He didn’t play much tackle and started his career at FS as an end. Obviously saints saw potential and took a flier
Also curious on what absolute stud we missed out on to make this worth bringing up continuously

This k8d has a shot to get some serious playing time from the start. You never know until the lights go on, but the numbers say there is a lot of upside. Truth be know, there are more than a few hundred more out there that no no knows anything about.

could have taken players like Racy McMath at WR, who has much more upside than Kawaan Baker, and Jacoby Stephens at S, and Tyler Shelvin on the DL if we wouldn't have traded away so many draft picks just to move up to draft players who themselves are long shots anyway. Those 3 long shots are much better long shots than the long shot players we did draft. If you are going to throw shite at the wall to see what sticks then why not throw more shite at the wall and increase your odds of some sticking. In other word, why trade away picks to move up in the draft, if you are going to draft longshots, hoping some of them stick, anyway.

Who is determining that those are better long shots? You? Lol
