Spencer Rattler wasn't the reason the Saints lost. The Defense quit on the team

Is he the reason they didn’t win?

Defense did their part. They gave Rattler 3 picks. He hasnt scored in 3 of the 4 qtrs
Defense allowed 3 TDs combined to Philly and Atlanta
Carr throws pick on last drive down 3 to PHI to seal the L
Carr throws pick 6 vs ATL when ya lose by 2
Defense has done enough all season to where we should’ve been 4-1 heading into today to where this loss would be minimal. Let’s see the Forrest for the trees here

Did their part? Are you counting the 800 missed tackles and getting run all over?
When you go an entire qtr with only 1 completion past the line of scrimmage, after the defense gave you the lead at halftime. And then throw 2 pics in the 4th . . . .

bullshite. He can’t read defenses.

Incorrect. Spencer Rattler could not read the field well and was a disaster against the Blitz. The Defense quit after the Int.

You'd bail on this shite offensive line too. Who am I kidding you don't have the QB IQ to even know what to do.

It was first start against a good defensive coach
Shut the frick up if you’re shitting on Rattler today

I don’t dislike Carr but we have 10 years of evidence that he isn’t a winner.

Check those feelings and emotional responses at the gate hand.

Valid points there, I just hate making judgements on a young QB who gets no protection on the inside pass rush, no running game, and very few weapons. As the game progressed I saw a young QB struggling with the adjustments that the defense made, mainly bringing pressure.

So if the defense did their part the offense just failed to score at least 52 points. What a brilliant comment on the defense.

Sorry Oline is not an excuse for Carr why should it be an excuse for Rattler

I don’t blame Carr either playing behind that interior line, all scrubs.

I think he will learn fast.
This was a project qb who was not expected to see any meaningful snaps this year. Learn from the bench as a rookie.
And all the sudden he is starter. Not only that he is starting for a one dimensional team without a run game. Means defenses can protect against the pass easier.
Then spot the opposing team a 17 point lead and have to pass your way back in it. And he did for the 2nd qtr.
But Tampa made adjustments and without playing experience he was not able to sustain.
But again. First ever NFL game. Its not like he had all summer camp practicing with the 1’s to get timing down either, those went to your original starter.
Had your defense kept it close in 2nd half then NO could have ran more to open up better plays. But NO D got behind and that made NO one dimensional again.
His passes in first half were great. He has a huge upside. I’d be more worried about the D. You scored 27 and in most NFL games thats enough to win.
Look at Browns. Their seasoned QB has failed to score more than 20 points in any 4 qtr game this year. Spencer scored 27 in his first ever NFL game in 1 qtr. Now compare salaries. I think Spencer will grow and improve.

The DL can’t get pressure, haven’t had a legit FS since Marcus Williams, and they are on the field way too long. OL has got to get healthy.
