My goodness, very good chance we've seen the last of Rankins in Nola.

Man I feel so bad for him. He was in line to get a nice contract before his first Achilles injury. Was playing at such a high level and now it’s happened twice.

Not seeing anywhere that it is an Achilles besides this rotoworld article. Not saying it isn't that, just that they sighted Field Yates tweet as the source, but the tweet doesn't say anything about achilles.

The Saints have officially placed DE Marcus Davenport and DT Sheldon Rankins on IR, while signing DE Noah Spence as well as DT T.Y. McGill.

Yates Tweet
No where mentions anything besides an ankle injury. Hoping it is just a broken ankle that can heel in a few months and should be fine for next season.

fricking sucks for him. He’s a legit pro bowl caliber player that’s just had his career ruined by injuries.

Also seen sources say it’s an ankle injury on the opposite foot - not achilles.

Well frick.

I have that sick feeling where you’re forced to acknowledge you’re going to have to lower your expectations.

Davenport IR
Rankins IR

Did anyone notice any chop blocks by the 49ers during the game?

I am not saying any of these injuries are related?

Were the refs allowing dirty play?

Historically, the Saints get injuries against the 49ers.

I guess this was just bad luck.

fricking shite!!!!!!!!!!

we lose two out of our best 3 Dlinemen following a game where the defense got gashed for 48 points.

and we play the Colts who have a physical O-line. They are patient with their run game.

i know the Colts have been inconsistent as a team but we will find out super quick who wants to step up.

Tuttle is doing well but he'll need some help inside.
