When will we know when the Saints play their divisional round game? I've heard some say we'd know after this weekend. I've heard others say it'll be based on matchups which would imply we wouldn't know until wildcard round is played. Can anyone give me some clarity on this ? Thanks in advance fellas.

It will be announced either at halftime or after the SNF game tomorrow night

That's what I was hoping for so I could line my plans up well ahead of time. I heard several on here say it was based on our matchup though. Some said if we played Dallas it would likely be Sunday and if it was Seattle it had a good chance for the Saturday night slot. If that were the case we wouldn't know until after the wildcard round when it was settled on who we were playing.

If the wild card matchup is Dallas/Seattle and Bears/Vikings or Philly, we will likely play Saturday night or Sunday because we would most likely play the winner of Dallas/seattle

Prediction: we will get primetime Saturday night.

Because there is no way in Hell the Cowboys aren’t getting the primetime Saturday Wild Card spot.

historically its announced Sunday night following the conclusion of the NFL regular season. Last year it was announced 12/31 at around 9pm.

isnt the #1 seed always the prime time sunday night game?

thats the whole point of being a prime time game is for the best team to play

same reason bama plays prime time tonight

That might be the late Sunday game

The ultimate lock is Texans-Colts/Titans is the 2 pm Saturday game

Let me put everyone’s mind at ease:

Schedule will be announced tomorrow by the end of the SNF game

Fox and CBS get the first selection for the Sunday games for their respective conferences. After that, NBC gets the next selection. The leftover game is the 3:35 Saturday game.

At that same time, also get to select which AFC/NFC higher seed they want for their divisional round Sunday games. So they pretty much as of today, know what the first two rounds are going to look like.

There will be 2 #1 seeds. KC will be the “sexier” pick. Plus they will give NE the better time slot too

Saints played the Cardinals on the Divisional Round Saturday in 09 as the 1 seed.

I may be wrong but i think the divisional
Round times don't get announced until after the wild card round. They do this so that the networks can see the matchups. Again may be wrong but I think that's how it's been in the past.

We will know tomorrow night when our game is. They announce the Wild Card times then announce the top 2 seeds' game times. They have for about a decade now.
My guess is that Sea/Dal is the Sat night game on NBC and Saints get the same slot the next weekend

If what lsutigerftw is saying is true, and they get to choose which higher seed they want for sunday first, then theyll choose the saints over the rams for sunday. Which means the cowboys will play on sunday against the seahawks next week.

Dont know why yall think it has to be the late game on either day. It could just as easily be the early sunday game. Nfc wont get both the saturday night and sunday night slots. They only get one
