It seems like the biggest consensus so far is that everyone loves Ty Warren or would be okay with him.

It’s really not a good value at 9 but he’s one of the safest prospects in the draft. Don’t like picking him that high but I won’t be mad.

IMO unless you’re taking about drafting a player that is solidly ranked in day two or three in the first round value is overblown most of the time.

I’d rather have Warren I the roster than not have him on the roster. So to me at 9 or at 15 or 20 makes no difference. Especially with rookie pay scales pretty much locked. Maybe years ago when top 10 draft picks could hold a team hostage for a giant contract maybe I think more about it but not anymore.

If Sanders is around at 9 you have to take him if only for trade bait. But , there is a tremendous upside to him, and playing in a dome 8 or 9 times a year minimum, he could be a menace to opponents, throw in Kamara and Shaheed's speed ( hopefully ) you could have serious fun on the offensive side.

If he's gone, I would target the best available receiver and then grab Dart in the 2nd.....because, he's going to be very good....don't sleep on him

I hate 9 it’s a dead zone this year.

Graham isn’t falling.

Jahdae Barron > W. Johnson but I like both. Think both are a reach at 9

Will Campbell is a smart pick but not exciting enough to celebrate.

I’ll never complain drafting d line in the 1st round. Green, Walker, the guy from Tennessee. All reaches at 9

Also like the Georgia LB and Safety. Both are reaches

I’m not huge on Mcmillian but the hype for that guy is insane. Very high upside pick.

I will never celebrate drafting a RB in the 1st but Jeanty would be fun.

I think Warren will make a good TE but can’t justify spending a 9 overall on a TE.

To summarize there are plenty of ok options but I’d rather trade back and let one of the reach picks fall to us.

I mostly agree but I think because of the reasons you've laid out, it's unlikely we really even get any options to trade back. MAYBE a team could want to come up for Sanders if he falls, but if he reaches us and we aren't picking him, there's really no reason to come up to 9, a team could wait until at least the mid, if not late, teens to make that move and pay way less. We're the risk of taking him.

He’s a good prospect, not as good as Bowers who went later than 9 last year.

TE is just not a money position and doesn’t move the needle much. Raiders have about the same record as last year with Bowers. Good chance you get about the same production out of Mason Taylor or another tight end later in the draft.

I just think picking this high, you have to get a high level prospect at a money position. LT, DE, WR, CB and QB

I’d hope Graham makes it down but if not I’d probably be looking at Campbell or McMillian for need meeting value at 9.

That being said, this team really needs to trade down and get an extra 2nd or 3rd in the worse way.

Definitely. And even if it were possible we know Mickey won’t trade back. I guess I’m hoping we get lucky and hit on one of the edge rushers. Someone who can chase down a mobile QB.

Boring pick but I think kelvin banks OT Texas would be a great and safe pick. No one player is gonna be able to magically make us a good team but an anchor on the OL is a good start.
